Dorothy Bartels (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Dorothy Margaret Bartels, daughter of William Dandy and Dorothy Pattison-Dandy, was born December 3, 1925 in Schaller, Iowa. She departed this life, April 24, 2024 in Eldon, Missouri at the age of 98 years, 4 months and 21 days.
She was confirmed on May 5, 1940 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. On February 18, 1943, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Bartels and to this union four children were born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents William and Dorothy Dandy; and her siblings, Martha Lezzini and William Dandy.
Survivors include her son, Kim Bartels of Belton, Missouri; daughter, Kathryn Anderson and husband Ronald of Osage Beach, Missouri; son Paul Bartels and wife Janet of Camdenton, Missouri; son Patrick Bartels and wife Janice of Shawnee, Kansas; grandchildren Christopher Anderson, Troy Anderson, Steven Bartels, Tricia (Josh) Hutchison, Joseph Bartels, Kenneth Bartels, Melanie Langford, and Courtney Bartels; other relatives and many friends.
She has lived in Iowa, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Florida.
Dorothy was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church in Warsaw, Missouri where she enjoyed creating Church banners and playing the organ.
In her spare time, she used her many creative talents including painting and sewing, and also loved swimming, motor boating and sailing.
She was a loving and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Burial will follow in Allee Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. proceeding the Service in the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or American Heart Association and left at the funeral home.
