I remember Dorothy with great admiration. I taught her daughter Gale and son Tway in my brief tenure in the Hartville Public Schools. Dorothy and her husband Everett were active citizens in the community and attended the local Methodist Church.i last saw her when she lived in Springfield and visited me after a show at Springfield Little Theatre and later at a program I presented at Southminster Presbyterian Church. She was a productive, energetic lady and friend.

When I was a youngster, Dorothy worked in the USDA office my dad worked at and she would let me set at her desk and run the envelopes through the gadget that was used to moisten the envelope flap to be sealed. She made me feel so important for getting to help her. We also went to the same church as Dorthy and her family. We enjoyed lots of church suppers together over the years. After she left Hartville, it was always nice to see her smiling face at the hospital when we were there.
Lots of memories with Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Everett. As a teenager, I spent some time with them during the summer. Aunt Dorothy taught me how to eat, (EAT WHAT SHE COOKED OR GO HOME). Uncle Everett & Tway taught me about working with cattle. (STAY AWAY FROM THE BACK LEGS). Aunt Dorothy would bring me a drink and cookies while working in the field. Uncle Everett squirting me in the face with milk while milking the cow. Many memories I'll remember and talk about for years. LOVED THEM BOTH
