Dorothy A. Cline (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Dorothy Alice Cline, daughter of the late John and Clara (Phillips) Jones was born June 25, 1930 in Windyville, MO, and departed this life on March 28, 2023 in Springfield, MO. At the time of her passing she was 92 years, nine months, and two days of age.
Dorothy was raised by her grandparents, George and Belle Phillips near Windyville, MO. After graduating high school, she was united in marriage to Gordon Cline and to this union two children were born. She worked several years at Key Industries and Country Folks Flea Market. Dorothy enjoyed going to garage sales, flea markets, antiquing, and auctions. She also enjoyed crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; her parents, John and Clara Johns; one sister, and brother-in-law, Pansy and Ed Varner; and her brother, Wayne Jones.
Survivors include two children, son Larry Cline and daughter Nancy Hodges; four grandchildren, Tammy Patten & husband Bryan, Larry Cline & wife Sherry, Terry Cline & wife Amber, and Heather Hodges; eight great-grandchildren, Courtney and Kayla Patten, Brandi and Darci Cline, Brookelyn, Tessa, Colton and Mary Grace Cline; one great-great-grandchild, Maliah; sister-in-law, Clydene and husband Dr. Harold Loyd; sister and brother-in-law, Nadine & Don Garrison; many nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Pastor Jennifer Long officiating. Escorts will be Brandi Cline, Darci Cline, Courtney Patten, Kayla Patten, Brookelyn Cline, Tessa Cline, Colton Cline, and Mary Grace Cline. Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.
