Dorothy Mae Knox (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Dorothy Mae Knox, daughter of Robert B. and Mable Emma Palm Dardis, was born December 15, 1936. She departed this life Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, eight months, and twenty-seven days.
She was united in marriage to Garland Clifford Knox and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garland, in 2000; and a brother, Bob Dardis.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Monica Graham, and her husband, Billy, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Debbie Hanneman, and her husband, Duane, of Aurora, Colorado; a son, Steve Knox, and his wife, Diane, of Casa Grande, Arizona; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in California and lived most of her life in the Beverly Hills and Hollywood areas. Her family was involved in the movie industry for several years. Through the years, Dorothy was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She made her home in New Mexico and Colorado before moving to Lebanon, Missouri forty years ago. She worked as the director of Meals On Wheels at the Hughes Center in Lebanon for several years.
In her spare time she enjoyed watching television and eating out. She was a member of a TOPS group for several years. She had a love for animals and particularly dogs.
Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
All services for Dorothy Knox will be private under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
