Dorothy McIntosh (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Dorothy Lorene McIntosh, daughter of Floyd and Millie Hatfield Potter, was born February 11, 1912 near Ava, Missouri and departed this life on February 12, 2012 in Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield, Missouri at the age of one hundred years and one day.
She was united in marriage to Lester McIntosh on April 6, 1948 and he preceded her death on March 25, 2000 after almost fifty-two years of marriage.
Dorothy was also preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Lester, Cecil and Lee Walker; two daughters, Agnes Stinson and Okeema Wright; two brothers, Clyde and Buster Potter and a sister, Lotus Grim.
She is survived by a son, Marvin Walker and his wife Annabelle of Mansfield, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Ava and lived there until her marriage to Lester McIntosh. They moved to Illinois where they lived for almost 20 years before moving to Mansfield in 1978.
Dorothy had made a profession of her faith in Christ at an early age and had attended the Church of Christ.
She was a homemaker and her lifelong hobby was going to garage sales.
Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend and will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
