Dottie Hammer-Cox (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Dottie M. Hammer-Cox 86, of Bolivar, MO, passed away Sunday, March 8 2015 at the Colonial Springs Nursing Home, in Buffalo, MO.
Dottie was born April 20, 1928 in Polk, MO to Charles and Annie Hale. She married L.T. Hammer in 1950 and had two sons Randy and Roger Hammer. She later married Stan Cox in 1989. Dottie worked as a housekeeper for the Bolivar Nursing Home for 17 years. After marring Stan she then went to work at Stan’s Good Drug. She and Stan enjoyed traveling and experiencing new restaurants. She loved to crotchet in her spare time.
Dottie is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Annie; husbands, L.T. Hammer and Stan Cox; sister, Pearl West; brothers, L.D. Hale, Raymond Hale and Olen Hale.
Survivors include her two sons, Randy (Mary) Hammer, Halfway, MO and Roger (Pam) Hammer Buffalo, MO; sister, Ann Stewart, Coulterville, CA; sister-in-law Eugenia Hale, Polk, MO; Step grandchildren, James and Nina Welch, Stockton, MO, Jacob Welch, Springfield, MO and Dewayne and Makayla Hobbs, Buffalo, MO; stepchildren Kevin (Pauline) Cox, Rogersville, AR and Luann (Bill) Mangold, Florida; and five great-grandchildren.
