Douglas Henson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Douglas Owen Henson, son of David and Gladys Decker Henson, was born November 30, 1954, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, May 14, 2018, in his home, near Stoutland, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years, five months, and fourteen days.
On February 27, 1999, he was united in married to Denise Elaine Bridges, and they shared the last nineteen years.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Doug is survived by his wife, Denise, of the home; a daughter, Tracy Smith, and her husband, David, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Jacob Henson, of Richland, Missouri; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his mother, Gladys Henson, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Dave Henson, and Danny Henson, and his wife, Shelley, all of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and graduated from Lebanon High School. He was a used car dealer in Lebanon for several years, and then worked at G-3 Boats for ten years. After he and Denise were married, they made their home near Lebanon. He then worked at Lowe Chevrolet in Waynesville for seventeen years.
Doug had attended Sleeper United Methodist Church.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He also liked caring for his cows. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doug was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
