Doug was always my favorite cousin when we were growing up. He was full of life, laughter, and creativity. The countless hours we spent at the piano playing and singing over the years are treasured memories. He was a talented musician, singer, songwriter, poet, and artist. His incredible love for others manifest itself in acts of kindness never witnessed any anyone other than the recipients. He also loved animals immensely. I mention all of these things about my dear cousin because they are the traits and actions that directly impacted me for life. He made people smile, caused days to brighten, and changed lives for the better. He will be greatly missed, but he made a difference in his world, and that is what life is about.
