Dr. Brenda Hettinger (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Brenda Arlene Hettinger, daughter of Jennings Bryan Bevans and Lois Arlene Ingold Keller, was born, April 2, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri. She departed this life, Sunday, October 4, 2015, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of fifty-nine years, six months and two days. On July 4, 1987 in Hallsville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Hettinger. Together they shared twenty-eight years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Hettinger; a daughter, Elizabeth Lawrence; three grandchildren, Danielle Lawrence, Abigail Lawrence and Joshua Lawrence; her mother, Lois Keller all of Camdenton, Missouri; three siblings, Virgil Bevans and Jenni Bevans both of Camdenton, Missouri and Basil Bevans of Quincy, Illinois and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Brenda was raised in Williamstown, Missouri and was a graduate of Canton High School. She received an undergraduate degree from Northeast Missouri State University. She received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Missouri. She did an internship in Chillicothe, Missouri before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks. She worked for Lake Regional Clinic before opening her own practice in 2000. She took pride in her work as a physician and treated thousands of patients and was well respected in the medical community.
Brenda made a profession of faith and was a member of Foundation Fellowship in Camdenton where she was the leader of the Praise and Worship team.
In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and had made many beautiful quilts.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt and a caring physician, neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
