It's been another year without you and hearts are still broken because you are not here with us. You and Keri made so many plans for your future together and Keri still talks about what it would have been like for you, her and Leah to be a little family. She has never stopped loving and missing you. She gave you her Love, Heart, Body and Soul and you will always have them. Even knowing the heart-ache Keri is still experiencing I am so grateful you walked into that gym and was persistent asking her out until she said yes. You two were the cutest couple, not just because you both were attractive and fit, but the electricity and sparks that you two shared just lit you both up inside and out. You will always be her One True Love, Her Forever. "They say" the good die young and you are a true representative of that phrase. You were a good (great) guy, a good (great) dad, and so good (great) for Keri and you were gone way too soon, but you did Love life, and you lived every moment to the fullest. Please continue to look in and love both of our girls and especially on these days when it is extra hard missing you. Love you and miss you Dylan.

Another year has passed, and the heartache is still there for Keri. I know she will never get over you Dylan. You were her One True Love. She gave her Love, Heart, Body and Soul to you and you will Always have them. You two dreamed of a future together and she still talks about the life she planned to have with you and Leah. Even though there is such heartache for her, I am still so grateful you walked into that gym and were persistent in asking her out until she finally said yes. Not everyone is lucky enough to find their One True Love, but you both felt it at that first meeting. You were the cutest couple, not just because you were both attractive and fit but because you both "glowed" with the look of a couple In Love. I also saw that "glow" when you talked about Leah. You were such a good Daddy, and I just pray that Leah will remember how much you adored and loved her too. Please continue to watch out for both of them and send them your love and some peace, especially today and all those "special days" where missing you hurts that extra amount. Still miss you.

The years keep going by, but the memories feel like it was just yesterday when I met Dylan for the very first time. I had heard so much about him and had seen numerous pictures of Keri and Dylan together before I met him. I was so taken in by his spirit, his zeal for life, and his love for my daughter. I don't ever remember her smiling so much before. She glowed inside and out, and it was because Dylan had entered her life and swept her off her feet. We were lucky enough to spend a weekend with them and see how much they loved each other. I wish his family would have had that chance also. They made so many plans for their future together and I just wish they could have had more time to make their dreams come true. Keri told me she once again overscheduled her day to help her get thru it. That is her regular routine on those days that Dylan not being here hurts that much more. I really believe that she will never get over the loss of Dylan, because he was the love of her life. I miss you Dylan and I still "talk" to you occasionally, especially when I am worried about Keri. I find comfort knowing you are looking in on her, I just wish she could be in your arms and feel the calm and peace you brought to her, and I wish I could see her light up and smile again like she did with you. Even though it was for such a short time, I am grateful you were in her life, and I thank you for bringing love into her life.

It has now been 2 years and so much has changed, but missing Dylan has not. Keri still hears a song or drives by Syberts, where she will never eat again, and she tears up at times. She had to go to the Mid Rivers gym on Tuesday where they met, and she said as soon as she got on the exit the pit in her stomach grew tighter. I still remember that day like it was yesterday because she called me as soon as Dylan left the gym to tell me she just met the man she was going to marry. He was the the "real life" version of the man I pictured would one day be my Son-in-Law. He loved openly and entirely. He loved his life, his daughter and my daughter and his family and friends. His personality and that engaging smile and beautiful eyes just drew you to him, and then you add in his uniform. I was so impressed by his work ethic and pride in his town and country. And his love and devotion to Leah was inspiring. He was a young father but so mature and responsible. Keri and I still talk often about the life she believes they would be sharing right now. I don't think she will ever get over Dylan, her first and possibly her only, One True Love. We miss you Dylan.

Its been a year now, and I still think of Dylan daily. I not only mourn the loss of this Great Young Man that entered my heart the first day I met him, I mourn the future Dylan and Keri dreamed about sharing. Dylan loved my daughter, and she was so in love with him. They were the cutest couple, and even though their time together was so short, Dylan will always be Keri's one true love. Dylan loved life, and lived it with such zeal, and the way he lit up when he talked about Leah was precious. I do find comfort in knowing Dylan is watching over Keri and Leah, and his love for them will always go on. Miss you Dylan.
