E Delores DD Koster's Obituary
Delores “DD” Koster, daughter of Frank and Opal (Gray) Williams, was born April 7, 1954, in Mansfield, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, August 3, 2008, in her home, near Norwood, Missouri. On February 10, 1973 she was united in marriage to Roland Edward “Fuzz” Koster and to this union one daughter and one son were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fuzz, on February 13, 2005; a granddaughter, Mikaela Lansdown; her father; and a brother, Warren Williams. DD is survived by a son, James Koster, and his wife, Teai, of Fordland, Missouri; a daughter, Tracy Lansdown, and her husband, Eric, of Bruner, Missouri; four grandchildren, Ashlyn, Weston, Kylie, and Carson; her mother, Opal Williams, of Mansfield, Missouri; two brothers, Harlin Williams, and his wife, Evelyn, of Norwood, Missouri, and Jerry Williams, and his wife, Carolyn, of Macomb, Missouri; three sisters, Donna O’Dell, and her husband, Bobby, of Mansfield, Missouri, Doris Floyd, and her husband, Jerry, of Marshfield, Missouri, and Karen Allen, of Sparta, Missouri; her mother-in-law, Viola Koster, of Dover, Arkansas; seven brothers-in-law, Jimme Koster, and his wife, Sheryl, and Tom Koster, and his wife, Karen, all of Stewartville, Minnesota, Melvin Koster, and his wife, Carol, of Marshfield, Missouri, Raymond Koster, Leland Koster, Dennis Koster, and Marlin Koster, and his wife, Mary, all of Dover, Arkansas; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Wolter, and her husband, Richard, of Osage, Iowa, Marjorie Walker, and her husband, Billy, of Dover, Arkansas, Rozanne Bird, and her husband, Jim, of Belmond, Iowa; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. She was born and raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1972. After she met and married Fuzz, they moved to Hartville and later to Norwood, where they lovingly raised their family. Besides helping with Fuzz’s business, Koster Tire and Auto, she also worked for the Shoe Factory, Emerson, and was very involved with the operation and festivals at the Wilder Home. DD had made her profession of faith in Christ. She centered her life on her family, home and the business and had a special relationship with her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed being outdoors, at the cabin, camping and fishing, riding four wheelers, mushroom hunting, and loved gardening. DD was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be at 10:30 am Wed. August 6, 2008 at the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Hartville. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 7-8:30 pm. Burial in the Macomb Cemetery under the direction of Holman- Howe Funeral Home Hartville, Missouri.
