Earl "Butch" Shipman (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Earl "Butch" C. Shipman, son of Earl Celestal and Ruth Blankenship Shipman, was born, May 13, 1956 in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of sixty years, ten months and thirty days.
On August 31, 1981 he was united in marriage to Cheryl Benson and to this union two children were born. Together they shared years thirty-five of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Eddie Shipman; his sister, Bonnie Sue Kuhn and sister-in-law, Sharon Shipman.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Shipman of the home; his daughter, Heather Dean of Eldon, Missouri; his son, Heath Shipman of Columbia, Missouri; two grandchildren, James Strickland and Adenia Love; one great-granddaughter, Hadleigh Strickland; four siblings, Linda Starr and husband Danny of Camdenton, Missouri, Ellen Bradley and husband Rick of Montreal, Missouri and Fred Shipman and wife Peggy of Linn Creek, Missouri and Bill Shipman of Macks Creek, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Butch was raised in the Linn Creek area. He had spent many years building boat docks and later worked as a carpenter. God had blessed him with a special talent thru his carpentry.
In his spare time, he enjoyed getting out and riding his motorcycle and his horses. He loved hunting, fishing and playing pool. The time he treasured the most though, was time spent with his family and friends.
Butch has blessed his family with many fond memories. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and uncle.
A memorial visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
