Earl Joseph Heintz (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Earl Joseph Heintz, son of Adolph and Martha Janzen Heintz, was born March 25, 1929, in Buffalo, New York. He departed this life Wednesday, August 17, 2022, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-three years, four months, and twenty-two days.
On October 30, 1952, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Rose Ripley Heintz, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn, on August 20, 2018; and a brother, Edwin Heintz.
Earl is survived by a daughter, Arlene Heintz, of Waxahachie, Texas; a son, Todd Heintz, of Conway, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Buffalo, New York where he attended public school and graduated with honors from South Park High School. He then moved with his parents to the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, in 1947. Earl attended UCLA, graduating with a Master’s Degree in Psychology and minoring in Engineering. Earl met his future wife, Carolyn, on a UCLA Geographic Society camping trip, and after being married in 1952, they made their home in Venice, California, and lovingly raised their children.
Professionally, Earl worked as an aerospace engineer at McDonnell Douglas in Santa Monica, California. He later worked at and retired from Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas.
In his spare time he enjoyed photography, working calculus and algebra, making jewelry, working on the computer, was an avid reader, and had many other hobbies.
We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them during his ninety-three years.
