Earline Dome's Obituary
Earline Ruth Dome, daughter of William Earl and Alta Belle (Daniels) Koonce, was born March 2, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, August 21, 2009, in her home, near Lynchburg, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, five months, and eighteen days. On September 4, 1977, she was united in marriage to David Lowell Dome and together they have lovingly shared thirty-two years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lonnie Steelman; and two brothers, Daniel and Edward Koonce. Earline is survived by her husband, David, of the home; three children, Ron Steelman, and Ester Ruth Young, both of Lynchburg, Missouri, and Jody Lacey, and her husband, Morris, of Cortland, New York; five grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Eric, Scott, and Aimee; eight great-grandchildren; a number of step-children and step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. She was born and spent her younger childhood in the St. Louis area. She then lived in many different states including Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, California, Missouri and Nebraska. While living in Nebraska she met and married David and they spent twenty-six years in Omaha before making their home in the Lynchburg area. Earline was a devoted wife and mother and she centered her life on her family. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary for many years and also the Manes Music Makers. She had professed her faith in Christ and was a member of the Evening Shade Church, where she enjoyed her church fellowship. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and was a wonderful seamstress. Earline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday August 25, 2009 at the Evening Shafe Church. Burial will be in the Evening Shade Cemetery.
