Edgar Jay Kibby (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Edgar Jay Kibby, 59, of Bolivar, MO passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Edgar was born December 28, 1957 in Humansville, MO to Elvin and Wanda Viles Kibby. He married Patricia Bennett on December 7, 1990 in Bolivar, MO.
He was saved at the age of nine at the Walnut Ridge Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a life time member until his passing. As a dairy farmer, Edgar knew about hard work and long hours. In addition to his farming he excelled in cabinet building. Edgar was known for his love of ice cream and along with his recliner was not known to share either, however he had made an exception recently with a grandson. A loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle who was loved by all who knew him he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Pat; parents, Elvin and Wand Kibby; children, Charles Raymond West II, Lucas Mathew west, Melissa Danielle Dunbar, Keisha Diana Marie Kibby, Eric Thomas Kibby, Christopher Michael Kibby, Adele Rose Kibby and Patricia Rachel Lewis; Sister Keitha Horn and her husband Mark; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Kibby will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Bolivar, MO. Visitation will be held 5:00 -7:00 PM Monday April 24, 2017 at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place after services Tuesday in the Slagle Cemetery. Services under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
