Edith June Ray (Hartville)'s Obituary
Edith June Ray, daughter of Eugene Warren and Hannah Frances Buttram Stanley, was born June 12, 1944 in Hartville, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, July 16, 2012 in her home, Manes, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years, one month, and four days.
June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E.C. Ray; a brother, Warren Stanley; and a sister, Louise Cole.
She is survived by her son, Bryan Young of the home; grandchildren, William Young of the home, and Shaunna and Kimi Young both of Lebanon, Missouri; brothers, Bill Stanley and wife Sue of Diggins, Missouri, Gene Stanley and wife Jackie of Conway, Missouri, Leon Stanley and wife Janie of Seymour, Missouri, David Stanley and wife Cammie of Rogersville, Missouri; sisters, Sue Lansdown and husband Clifford and Evelyn McClanahan, all of Hartville, Missouri, Fay Anderson and husband Jim of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Judy Craighead and husband Ray of Wichita Falls, Texas; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
June was born in Hartville and was a graduate of Hartville High School. Following graduation, June traveled the country and settled in California and gave birth to her son, Bryan. June moved back to Hartville to make her home and worked for H.D. Lee for several years before retiring.
In her spare time, June enjoyed fishing and spending as much time as possible with her family.
June was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
