Edith Emoline Shadrick (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Edith Emoline Shadrick, daughter of Walter and Ella M. Honey Rogers, was born March 18, 1923, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-six years, seven months, and thirty days.
On July 28, 1940, she was united in marriage to Walter Shadrick, and to this union one daughter and four sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter, on March 31, 1996; a son, Danny Eugene Shadrick; seven brothers, Jerry, George, Leroy, Bill, Gene, David, and Clint; and four sisters, Irene, Martha, Pauline and Dorothy.
Edith is survived by a daughter, Crystal Jones, of San Marcus, California; three sons, Ron Shadrick, of Lebanon, Missouri, Jim Shadrick, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Don Shadrick, of the State of Arizona; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon community, and graduated from Lebanon High School. After she and Walter were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their children. Edith was always a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.
Edith had attended Trinity Full Gospel Church in Eldridge, Missouri.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family which she loved very much. She had made many friends through the years, and was a very good and loyal friend.
Edith was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her ninety-six years.
Private Services and Burial will be held at a later date in the Ira Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Laclede County Library, and left at the funeral home.
