Edna Hall's Obituary
Edna Ann Hall, daughter of Henry and Cordilia Doyle Haines, was born October 2, 1919 in Roach, Missouri. She departed this life, Sunday, December 31, 2006 in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-seven years, two months and thirty-days. On May 13, 1937 in Camdenton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Earl Edward Hall. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1999 after sixty-two years of marriage. Edna lived her life preparing to meet Jesus and her loved ones who went on before her, including, her parents, a son, Clifford Hall; two brothers and three sisters. She leaves behind a loving family, her sons, Edward Hall and his wife, Nancy, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Kenneth Hall and his wife, Judith, of Springfield, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; thirty-one great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and numerous friends and people she touched by her life. Edna was raised in the Roach, Missouri area and attended a one-room school there. After her marriage, she and her husband continued to live in Camden County where they lovingly raised their boys. She had worked for over twenty years as a cook for the Camdenton Schools. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was a prayer warrior and lived out a daily walk with Christ. She lived each day to the fullest and began every day by reading her Bible. She was a charter member of New Home Baptist Church in Camdenton where she served as church treasurer for over forty years. She loved the fellowship of her church family and especially the children. She had helped with Vacation Bible School for many years. Edna was active in the community and spent many hours helping those in need. She was a volunteer for the Lamb House and helped with Bingo at Windsor Estates. She had also worked at her polling place for many years. Her family shares many fond memories of fish frys and holiday gatherings at Grandma’s house. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and embroidery and had made many beautiful quilts. She also loved to go fishing. Most of all, she lovingly cared for her family and friends and loved them all deeply and unconditionally. Edna was a loving mother and grandmother and was a caring neighbor and friend. We will miss her greatly, but have the wonderful memories she created to treasure in our hearts forever. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007, in the New Home Baptist Church. Burial will be in the New Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
