Edna Lois Good's Obituary
dna Lois Good, daughter of William Edward and Oca Crawford Farmer, was born February 25, 1931 in Nicholson, Georgia and departed this life Sunday, February 24, 2008 in Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, eleven months, and thirty days. On May 5, 1974, she was united in marriage to James Harvey Good, and together they spent twenty-six years before his passing on November 20, 2000. Edna was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Edith Marie Brakhage; and four brothers, Hiril, Olin, Pete, and Crawford Farmer; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Jones, Hiawanda Barnhouse, and Leoma Good; and three brothers-in-law, Jerry, Tom, and Lee Good. She is survived by a son, Michael Minish and his wife, Sharon, of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, Tina Burleson and her husband, Mike, of Marshfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Chris Brakhage, who was raised in the home, and his wife, Christy, of Festus, Missouri, Shanna McDonald and her husband, Charles, of Ava, Missouri, Lindy Grier and her husband, Chris, of Marshfield, Missouri, and Nikki Plonka and her husband, Joel, of Detroit, Michigan; one great-grandchild, Ashlyn Grier; five step-great-grandchildren, Whitney, Taylor, Kelly, Quincey, and Kate McDonald; two step-daughters, Sharon Monroe and her husband, Cecil, of Ash Grove, Missouri, and Susie Wilkerson, of Frisco, Texas; several step-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, George Good and his wife, Betty, of Seymour, Missouri, and Jack and Gracie Good, of Point Blank, Texas; a sister-in-law, Daisy Millsap and her husband, Gerald, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Skipper Maybee and her family, of Seymour, Missouri; and many wonderful caretakers and friends at Glenwood Healthcare. Edna was born and raised in Georgia and had moved to Seymour, Missouri in 1975 after her marriage to James. She had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of the Seymour Church of Christ. Edna loved playing bingo with her friends at Glenwood. She was a volunteer for various school programs as well as volunteer at the Seymour Community Library. Most of all, Edna was a devoted homemaker for her family. In her spare time, Edna enjoyed crocheting, reading, tending to her vegetable gardens, and working in her lawn. Edna was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 - 6:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
