Edna L. Myers (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Edna Louise Myers, daughter of Edgar and Blanche Allen Reid, was born August 14, 1932, near Brownfield, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, June 6, 2019, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, nine months, and twenty-two days.
On July 10, 1954, she was united in marriage to Farmer Quentin Myers, and to this union two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Farmer, on March 19, 2011; two brothers, Alvie and Earl Reid; and two sisters, Wilma Robertson, and Jane Stowe.
Edna is survived by two sons, Scott Myers, and his wife, Vicki, and Andy Myers, and his wife, Kathy, all of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jason Myers, and his wife, Jessica, of Linn Creek, Missouri, Amanda Doublin, and her husband, Kelly, of Lebanon, Missouri, Misty Potter, and her husband, Frank, of Animas, New Mexico, and Krystal Stewart, and her husband, Ramsey, of Lebanon, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Natalie, Aspen, Quinton, Carson, Rhylee, and Allie; two brothers, Elmer Reid, and his wife, Mary, and Jack Reid, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Judy Luthy, and her husband, Dr. Tom, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Brownfield community. After she and Farmer were married, they made their home on their farm in the Crossroads area and lovingly raised their children. Through the years, Edna was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She liked caring for her family and making a nice home for them.
Edna had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a longtime member of Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church. She was the official prayer warrior for her entire family.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and doing embroidery projects. She also liked working in her garden and growing beautiful flowers. She loved having family gatherings and regular times with her siblings. She liked taking pictures and was always taking photos of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which she loved dearly.
Edna was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
