Edna Perkins' Obituary
Edna Louise Perkins, daughter of Edward Lewis and Viola Katherine Davis Snyder, was born July 7, 1937, in Erie, Pennsylvania. She departed this life Wednesday, December 16, 2009, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, five months and nine days. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Katherine Ann Perkins; and a granddaughter, Katherine Ann Billington. Survivors include her children, Ethel Marie Davis and husband Carl of Gilmer, Texas, Ernest Lewis Perkins of Eldon, Missouri, and James Robert Perkins of Olathe, Kansas; five grandchildren, John Phillip Billington, Kelly Marie Billington, Megan Rael Stewart, Christopher Daniel Stewart and Jacyln Paige Shipma; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Elmer Snyder and wife Candice of Indiana and many other relatives and friends. Edna was raised in Pennsylvania and as a youngster moved to Indiana. She was a graduate of South Bend High School in the Class of 1952. She was married and began working after high school. The family later moved to Illinois and Edna moved to Missouri in 1976. She resided in Lebanon and Camdenton and worked as an accountant. She was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Frances DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon and later became of member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton. Edna served as the area coordinator for the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks for the Lebanon area. She had also been a member of the Rainbow Girls and the Eastern Star. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, needle work, and cooking. She loved feeding and watching the wild birds and flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday December 21, 2009 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will be private at Allee-Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of service under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral home in Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
