Edward Hopkins (Camdenton)'s Obituary
EDWARD HOPKINS Edward Hopkins, 82, of Camdenton, MO, died at 1:17 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Edward was born on October 12, 1929 in Camden County, MO to Edward Everett and Hattie Mae (Bangert) Hopkins. He married Virginia B. O’Dell of Richmond, MO on April 8, 1961. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include; one sister, Maudine Randolph of Centralia, MO and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by three brothers; Cecil, Roscoe and Ezra Hopkins, four sisters; Veda Dyer, Bernice Kulik, Alta Lundell and Lavina Friday.
Edward was a self-employed truck driver from 1958 to 1979. He was an owner and operator of a citrus and orange grove in Texas from 1979 to 1999. He was also owner and operator of Hopkins Supermarket in Camdenton, MO from 1963 to 1999. He was of the Christian faith. He had lived in Camdenton, MO, La Feria, TX and Elsa, TX, before moving to Missouri.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
