Edward Krueger's Obituary
Edward G Krueger, born March 28, 1927, in Milford, Illinois, died at 8 am, June 8, 2009.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Hazel Marvin Krueger, when he was one year old, his father, August Krueger, when he was seven years old, both of Milford, Illinois.
He was taken to Iowa, where his aunt, Emma Marvin Rock, raised him on the farm. He farmed near Cresco, Iowa, for many years raising cattle, hogs, chickens, sheep and corn and beans and hay.
He met his wife, Martha Waters, of Ft Madison, Iowa, through an ad she placed in the newspaper asking to meet a farmer. Edward proposed to her 8 hours after they met in 1978. They were married on July 26, 3 weeks after they met. They had a son, Dane Edward Krueger, born May 9, 1979, who preceded Edward in death when he was four years old at Hartville, MO.
Edward and his family moved to the Hartville area in 1980, were saved, and attended Coon Creek Church. He met and made many good friends through the years.
He leaves behind nieces, nephews, and cousins in Iowa, Minnesota and Colorado, who loved him very much and he loved them dearly.
He loved gardening and kept his friends and family supplied with homegrown vegetables from his 2 or 3 gardens. He also canned and froze the food he harvested. Neighbors remember him always outside working in the yard or garden.
He was a kind and generous man who loved the Lord very much and set an example serving others. He now is at peace in heaven with his son and other family members.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 in Coon Creek Cemetery, northeast of Hartville, Missouri with burial in Coon Creek Cemetery, under direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home, of Hartville.
