Edward Leon Musgrave, Sr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Edward Leon Musgrave, Sr., son of Bobby Newton and Edna Nadine Musgrave, was born April 16, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He departed this life Wednesday, January 29, 2020, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, nine months, and thirteen days.
On July 23, 1966, in Reno, Nevada, he was united in marriage to Darline Lucille Harris, and they shared the last fifty-three years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Larry Vance and James Vance.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Darline, of the home; a daughter, Jamie Musgrave, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; six sons, Brent Vance, David Vance, and his wife, Randa, Brad Vance, and his wife, Sharon, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Randy Vance, of Eldon, Missouri, Edward Musgrave, Jr., and his wife, Christie, of Creighton, Missouri, Mark Musgrave, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a sister, Bobby Joyce Maheux, of Moore, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in Moore, Oklahoma and graduated from high school there. He entered the military as a young man, and served his country faithfully in the United States Navy for a total of ten years. He moved to California and soon he and Darline were married. They settled in Semi Valley, California for eight years, and then moved to Lebanon, Missouri, in 1976. Ed was trained as an electrician in the Navy and worked for Marathon Electric, and the H. D. Lee Company in Lebanon for several years. He also enjoyed working on lawn mowers in his spare time.
Edward had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Lebanon First Assembly of God.
He liked sitting on his porch and working on lawn mowers. He loved his family dearly and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
