Edward Raymond Trader (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Edward Raymond Trader, born April 1st, 1936, in Muscatine, Iowa. His parents were Jerry and Ethel Trader. He had 3 brothers Robert Trader, Jerry Trader and William Trader. He had 1 sister Gwen Trader. The family moved from Muscatine, IA to Tunas, MO in 1949. He attended school in Tunas until he graduated in 1954.
From there he entered into the Army where he served honorably for 2 years and was discharged. Once out he married Dottie Price in 1957. They had 2 sons together Jerry Trader and Eddie Trader. They later divorced.
He met and later married Anne Stull on August 1st, 1959. They went onto to have 4 children Denise, Darren, Steve, and Michelle.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Jerry and Ethel. His brother Jerry and his sister Gwen.
He is survived by his wife Anne, his children Jerry Trader and his wife Shirley, Eddie Trader and his wife Melody, Denise Rodelander and her husband Rick, Darren Trader and his wife Resa, Steve Trader and his wife Marjorie, and Michelle Rogers and her wife Jonna. Each of his children added to the family with grandkids and great grandkids as well. In fact, to many to name them all.
Ed worked at Sheffield steel In Kansas City for a while. He and his family move back to the Tunas in 1967. There he had jobs at Empire gas delivering gas, Appleby Boats where he delivered boats around the country. He was an OTR Driver. He drove for Carl and Rob Lowe before they became Prime Trucking. From there He drove for National Carriers for 20 years. He decided to hang up the truck driving and became a Police officer for the city of Buffalo for 12 years, before retiring. His hobbies included the love of golf playing and watching. Deer hunting when he was younger.
He was Saved and baptized when he was young into the Christian Church. He was the music leader at the Christian Church in Tunas when he was younger as well.
He passed away on September 30th, 2023. Leaving behind many friends and family members.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 4, 2023, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo. Funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday October 5, 2023, at the funeral home with military honors to follow.
