Elaine Jane Staedtler, age 90, of Lebanon, MO, formerly of Huron, SD, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Lebanon South Nursing Home in Lebanon, MO. Her burial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron, SD. Visit www.welterfuneralhome.com.
Elaine Jane Anderson, the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Kureski) Anderson, was born on March 11, 1926 in Highbridge, WI. She attended Mellen High School. Elaine worked for Bell Telephone Company, Huron Regional Hospital, and Montgomery Wards.
Elaine married Carl Staedtler on August 16, 1947 in Ashland, WI. Elaine lived in Ashland, WI, Huron, SD, Mesa, AZ, and Springfield, MO before moving to Lebanon, MO.
Elaine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon, MO. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, cooking, and baking
Grateful for having shared in Elaine’s life are her three sons: Duane (Tillie) Staedtler of Holstein, IA, Dale (LeAnn) Staedtler of Lebanon, MO, and Dan (Becky) Staedtler of Ames, IA; four grandchildren: Heath (Nicole) Staedtler, Shane (Carly) Staedtler, Mattthew (Misty) Staedtler, and Christina (Phillip) Mugford; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Tardiff of Ashland, WI, Bernice (George) Bonitz of Northridge, CA, and Betty Fondow of Mesa, AZ; brother, Myron (Rosemary) Anderson of Iron River, WI; sister-in-law, Viola ‘Pat’ Anderson of Washburn, WI; brother-in-law, Jim Kittner of Ashland, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; brother, Samuel A. Anderson; sisters, Verlyn Anderson and Gertrude Kettner; nephew, Norman Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Howard Tardiff and Jerry Fondow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Elaine’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1300 Kent Drive, Lebanon, MO 65536 or to the Regional Hospice Center, 514 Fremont Rd., Lebanon, MO 65536
