Elane Virginia Beede (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Elaine Virginia Beede, age 104, formally of Buffalo, entered into rest on Monday, July 20, 2026, in Cassville, Missouri. Elaine was born on February 19, 1922, in Duluth, Minesota to the late Walter and Martha (Miller) Milton, the oldest of six children. Elaine attended school through the eighth grade. She worked as a nurse’s aide in Duluth at nursing homes and assisted livings. She also worked at Gino’s, a canning factory. Elaine was saved and baptized as a young girl, keeping the Assembly of God faith her entire life. Elaine married Theodore E. Rowell in Cloquet, Minnesota. To this union five children were born. These five children turned into 4 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 40 great-great grandchildren, and one great, great-great grandchild. In 1976, the family moved to Buffalo, Missouri to be closer to Theodore’s sister. Elaine resided in Buffalo until 2023, when she made the move to a nursing home in Cassville to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Following Theodore’s passing in 1983, Elaine was united in marriage to De’Marle Beede in 1985, to this union six children were added to the family. These six children turned into 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Elaine was a homemaker, caring for her beloved family. She was a gold star mother with the Buffalo DAV following the loss of her youngest son in Vietnam. It is not possible to put into words the absolutely amazing and feisty life Elaine lived. She touched numerous lives, leaving behind a legacy that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We will miss our precious mom, we take comfort that she is reunited with dad, waiting for us all to join them. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands: Theodore Rowell and De’Marle Beede, six sons, one daughter, one great granddaughter, three brothers and one sister. Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, July 24, 2026, at Memorial Gardens of Memory in Buffalo, Missouri with Sherry Pyle officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo.
