Rev. Eldar Krueger (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Rev. Eldar Robert Krueger, son of Eldar Chester and Hazel Yess Krueger, was born May 17, 1944, in Waseca, Minnesota.  He departed this life Tuesday, October 6, 2020, in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, four months, and twenty days.
On June 19, 1965, he was united in marriage to Sherly Lurken, and to this union twin daughters were born.  They divorced in 1974.
In May of 1975, he married Linda Compton at Grace Lutheran Church in Pensacola, Florida, and to this union two daughters and one son were born during their eighteen years of marriage.
His parents preceded him in death.
Eldar is survived by his children, Elicia Villa, and her husband, John, of Mesquite, Texas, Elizabeth Kimble, and her husband, Thomas, of Radcliff, Kentucky, Martha Putnam, and her husband, Vince, of Boynton Beach, Florida, Eldar C. Krueger, II, and his wife, Rebecca, of Madison, Alabama, and Christian Krueger, of Pacifica, California; his grandchildren that brought him great joy, William, Kyle, Thomas, Micah, Joshua, Lillian, Grace, William, David, Paige, Abigail, and Oliver; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Waseca, Minnesota and graduated from Waseca High School.  He then entered the military as a young man, and served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps for twenty years as a telephone system installer/manager.  During those years, he graduated with honors from both Pensacola Junior College and Pepperdine University.  He honorably retired with the rank of Master Sergeant.  After his military service, he attended Concordia Seminary, in St. Louis, and earned his Master’s Degree in Theology, and was called to Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon, Missouri.  Church attendance increased from 135 to 190 while he was there.  Once he retired from the ministry, he bought a hundred acres of woodland and logged timber and sold firewood.  He also worked as a tree planter and planted 450,000 seedlings across the southern states.  He finished his working career as a shoe repairman.
Edgar made his profession of belief in Christ and was active in the Lutheran faith throughout his life.
He enjoyed hunting and during his lifetime he harvested a turkey with a 13” beard and a trophy buck with over 183 inches of antlers.
Eldar was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and was a caring friend.  We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Another service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2020 in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilton, Minnesota. Burial will follow in the Woodville Cemetery, in Waseca, Minnesota.
