On April 27, 1985, he was united in marriage to Doris Howerton Richardson, and they shared the last twenty-six years.
His parents preceded him in death.
Eldon is survived by his loving wife, Doris, of the home; three sons, Lloyd Terveen, and his wife, Joyce, of Springfield, Missouri, Lewis Terveen, and his wife, Martha, of Highland, Illinois, and Lester Terveen, of Aurora, Missouri; two daughters, Anandi Amos, and her husband, Wallace, of Grovespring, Missouri, and Lila Shoemaker, and her husband, Bill, of Stafford, Kansas; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Damron, of San Antonio, Texas; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Texas, and received his education there. He then served in the United States Army Reserves for a few years. He made his home in the Monett, Missouri area for several years, before moving to Conway, Missouri. After he and Doris were married, they made their home on their farm, near Conway. Eldon worked as a cattle farmer and stockman for several years, and also worked in the inmate ministry in the Marshfield community.
Eldon made his profession of faith in Christ as a young boy, and attended the Harmony Baptist Church for as long as his health allowed.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and caring for his farm. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eldon was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
