Elizabeth Beth Moody's Obituary
Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Moody, daughter of James R. and Dorothy F. Temple Wilkerson, was born October 18, 1975, in Bossier City, Louisiana. She departed this life Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of thirty-three years, eight months, and seven days. On March 22, 1996, she was united in marriage to Derrell “Skip” Moody, and to this union one son was born. Her parents preceded her in death. Beth is survived by her husband, Derrell “Skip”, of the home; a son, Chreston Moody, of the home; three brothers, Harold Lee Wilkerson, of Shreveport, Louisiana, David Joel Wilkerson, of Willard, Missouri, and Daryl Eugene Wilkerson, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Lola Faye Hallman, Christina Marie Hodges, both of Willard, Missouri, and Rebecca Joy Foster, of Haughton, Louisiana; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. She was raised in the Shreveport, Louisiana area, and graduated from Northwood High School. After she and Skip were married, they made their home in Louisiana for the first few years, and then moved to Willard, Missouri, about seven years ago. In addition to being a devoted homemaker and loving mother, Beth also was a manager of a Pizza Hut in Willard. Beth had attended church and followed the Baptist faith. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday at Harmony Church. Burial will be in the Harmony cemetery. Visitation is Sunday afternoon 4-5:30 pm under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and donations may be made through the funeral home. Return to top
