Elizabeth graduated from California State University with a degree in Anthropology and was a few credits shy of a Masters Degree in Education from Drury University. She was a homemaker for many years and took great joy in volunteering in her children’s classrooms, as well as being their Scout Leaders.
She attended every softball/baseball game her children played in as well as every extracurricular activity and pushed them to excel in everything they did. She enjoyed sewing and loved making clothing, blankets, and pillows for her kids as well as taking them fishing.
She was united in marriage to Delmar McLinn on August 14, 1998, and looked forward to weekly date movie nights and Mexican food with him.
She worked as a teacher with the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch for several years, and in her semi retired days, she subbed for numerous school districts in the area. She made an indelible impression on her students and fellow staff.
Elizabeth loved gardening and was constantly working to extend flower beds around her home. When not in her gardens, she was often found reading, enjoying time with her 2 dogs and 4 cats, her chickens and waterfowl or taking on numerous other projects around her home. She loved going for walks around her property.
Elizabeth loved visiting Silver Dollar City with her husband and made sure to get Season Passes every year.
Elizabeth left a mark on everyone she met with her beaming smile and near constant laugh. She was witty and free-spirited, and was happiest spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and pets.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of those who loved her that will never be filled.
