Elizabeth "Betty" Moore (Hartville)'s Obituary
Elizabeth Mary “Betty” Moore, daughter of Hartzell Manning, Sr. and Thelma Cross was born July 16, 1940 in Wichita, Kansas. She departed this life July 16, 2021 at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri at the age of eighty-one years.
Betty was of Mormon faith, when a young girl her family moved to Arkansas, which she did not like, then later they moved to Missouri. In 1955 Elizabeth married Paul Schlotterbeck and to this union a daughter was born. On August 19, 1959 she was married to Paul Moore and to this union two daughters were born. Paul Moore preceded her in death on November 11, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, great-grandparents who helped raise her, Earl and Violet Cross, great-granddaughter, Skylar Kelley, two brothers, Hartzell and James, two sisters, Violet and Jackie and two sons-in-law, Houston Lane and Bill Arnall.
Survivors include her daughters Debra “Debbie” Weaver and her husband Don of Mansfield, Missouri, Robin Lane and Connie Arnall of Lebanon, Missouri, grandchildren; Sandy and Jason McCann, Mark O’Conner and Corie, Michael Kelley, Craig Lane, Jarod and Cheyenne Arnall, Beth Arnall and John, step-grandsons Melvin and Ron Lane, great-grandchildren, Kaelen O’Conner, Addison O’Conner, Kylie Harris, Declan McCann (Granny’s little trash man), Brittany Larissa and Roxie Arnall, Kyia and Rhylie Arnall and Nevaeh Kelley, a sister, Sherry Aldridge of Kansas and two half-brothers, Walter and Chester.
Betty made the best beef and noodles, it was always requested at family dinners, but no one could make fried taters like her. She also made the best lemon meringue pie, when she remembered the sugar! When asked about her walk with Jesus, she’d tell you I read my Bible and the rest is no one’s business!
Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created.

Funeral services for Betty Moore will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Holman Howe Funeral Home in Hartville, MO. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Holman Howe Funeral Home in Hartville, MO. Burial will take place at Thomas Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Betty's honor to the Thomas Cemetery through the Funeral Home at P.O. Box 236, Hartville, MO, 65667.
