Elizabeth Mosier's Obituary
Elizabeth Pauline Mosier, daughter of William Benjamin and Susie Jane Rhoades Caviness, was born August 17, 1918, in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, February 24, 2010, in Christian Health Care, Hermitage, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years, six months and seven days. In February of 1935, she was united in marriage to Leonard William Mosier, Sr. and to this union three children were born. Together they shared forty-four years of marriage until his passing on November 24, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Leonard William Mosier, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Gray of Warsaw, Missouri and Wanda Booth and husband, Chip, of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Rachael Staude of Kansas City, Missouri, Kimberly Mills of Hemet, California, and Aaron Mosier of Camdenton, Missouri; one great-grandson, Evan Mosier; and other relatives and many friends. Lizzie was raised in Camden County. Shortly after her marriage to Leonard, they lived throughout the country while he worked in construction. They retired back to Camdenton in 1962 where she continued to live until she moved to Hermitage due to failing health. She made a profession of faith and was a member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church. The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to the staff of Christian Health Care and Hospice for their loving care given to Lizzie over the past nine years. Lizzie was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday March 1, 2010 at the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton. Private burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday afternoon 2-4:00p.m. at the funeral home under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
