Elizabeth Stanfill (Hartville)'s Obituary
Elizabeth Harlene Tinsley Stanfill, daughter of Charlie and Leoan Garner Tinsley, was born March 22, 1931, near Hartville, Missouri. The Lord called her home Tuesday evening at the Springfield Rehabilitation and Care Center at the age of eighty-six years.
Harlene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Stanfill; a brother-in-law, Fred Jones; and a nephew, Keith Jones.
Harlene is survived by a sister, Lucille Jones of Springfield, Missouri; a brother, Morris Tinsley and his wife Sandra, of Springfield, Missouri; one niece, Lynette Arnall and her husband Ritch, of Hartville, Missouri; two nephews, Gary Jones and his wife Lois, of Kimberling City, Missouri and Charles Tinsley and his wife Katherine, of Springfield, Missouri; four great-nieces and nephews, Nicole Jones, Michelle Jones, Ryan and his wife Kristy Jones, and Brett Ellis.
Harlene was born and raised near the Hartville area and graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1948. Shortly after she graduated High School she moved to St. Louis and started working for the KMOX TV station as an office worker. Harlene later went back to school to get her paralegal certificate and started working for many firms as a paralegal.
Harlene accepted Christ at an early age and regularly attended Seminole Baptist Church in Springfield.
Harlene enjoyed traveling, often hopping on the bus not knowing a single person and went where she wanted. She also loved crafts and crochet, making lots of little nick knacks for people to enjoy. Harlene was a loving wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. We celebrate her life and will always cherish the many happy memories she created.
