Ella "Pauline" Rector (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Ella Pauline Rector was born February 24, 1930 to Arthur J. Marshall and Marie Florence Houser Marshall in Stoutland, Missouri. She passed away in her home Monday, March 11, 2024 at the age of ninety-four years and sixteen days.
Pauline, as she was known by family and friends, spent her early life in the Lebanon area. She then moved with her family to Bonner Springs, Kansas and was there for several years before returning to Lebanon.
Pauline was united in marriage to Verle Smith. He passed away November 14, 1987. She was then united in marriage to Marion E. Rector. They shared many wonderful memories before he passed away on July 6, 2007.
She loved to travel and going to Padre Island, Texas with her siblings was one of her favorite trips to make. They also frequently went to Branson together.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Author and Marie; her husbands, Verle Smith and Marion Rector; and her sisters, Lavonna McNary, Maxine Wright and an infant sister, Geneva Marshall; and her brothers, Charles, Raymond and George Marshall.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Smith of Lebanon, Missouri; a special niece and caretaker, Donna Gleb of Lebanon, Missouri; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pauline enjoyed gaming and was a big Elvis Presley fan. She enjoyed crocheting as well. She had a sweet demeanor and her life rotated around her family. She persevered through many trials and was an example of quiet strength. She was supportive of her family and loved ones and was present in their lives in a meaningful way. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
