Ella Faye Windeknecht (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Ella Faye Windeknecht, daughter of the late Marvin and Earl F. (Heider) Steen, was born on January 26, 1941, in Chaffee, MO and departed this life on March 17, 2026, at her home near Cross Timbers, MO. At the time of her passing she was 85 years, one month, and 20 days of age. Ella was raised and attended school in Oak Ridge, MO. She was united in marriage to Galen Windeknecht on June 14, 1963, in Jackson, MO and to this union four children were born, all of whom survive her. Ella enjoyed reading, watching game shows, doing puzzles, working crossword puzzles, and cooking for her family. She was a member of Preston Bible Baptist Church and had a strong love for her Lord. Ella was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings. She is survived by her husband, Galen; her children, Julie & husband Jim Climer, Laurie & husband Jeff Neumeyer, Amy & husband Dave Vaught, and Tom & wife Laurie Windeknecht; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.Cremation rites were accorded under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home.
