Ellen Lorene Barnes (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Ellen Lorene Barnes, age 97, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Manor Care in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born September 25, 1914 in Beaver County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Emanuel Franklin Davenport and Nancy Ann Susan (Cantrell) Davenport.
On December 24, 1930 she married Robert Lee Barnes in Lamb County, Texas.
Ellen was a nurse’s assistant working at the University of California in Irvine, California for over 20 years. She was a member of the Berean Baptist Church of Bolivar, Missouri. She loved her family and enjoyed her flowers and gardening them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, a grandson, Thomas DeCalb Morrel, IV, four brothers, Frank, Ted, Emanuel, Lloyd and her sister, Margaret Daniel.
Ellen is survived by her son; John Barnes and his wife Karlyn of Costa Rica, Central America, a daughter, Patricia Morrel and her husband Thomas of Bolivar, and three grandchildren, Kay Ellen Morrel, Regina Joy Franklin and her husband John Thomas, and Rachael Leigh Weed and her husband Brian, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
