Ellen Buttram (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Ellen Louise Buttram, daughter of Cleo and Levern Cannon Keeling was born February 2, 1946 in Mansfield, Missouri and departed this life on August 3, 2013 at her home in Hartville, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, six months and one day.
She was united in marriage to Ervin Calhoun and to this union five children were born. On December 1, 1995, Ellen was united in marriage to Wallace Buttram.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Mark Calhoun, and a brother, Ernie Keeling.
Ellen is survived by her husband of almost 18 years, Wallace of the home; a daughter Lucy Calhoun and her husband David Piland of Marshfield, Missouri; four sons, Cleo Calhoun and Jeff Calhoun both of Mansfield, Missouri, Scott Calhoun and his wife Angie of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and Matthew Calhoun and his wife Angela of Fountain, Colorado; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucy Cantrell and her husband Steve of Mansfield, Missouri; a nephew, Stephen Lee Cantrell; a niece, Tracy Lynn Hicks and her husband Gary; a great-niece, Kadence Hicks; two step-sons, John Buttram and his wife Brandy of Hartville, Missouri, and Dean Buttram of Mtn. Grove, Missouri as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Ellen was born and raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1965. She lived all of her life in the Mansfield/Hartville area and had worked for 27 years for Missouri Home Care as a home health care provider.
Ellen had made a profession of faith in Christ and was attending the Seymour Nazarene Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking. But her family was the most important thing to her and she loved taking care of her grandchildren.
Ellen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will always cherish the many wonderful memories we have of her.
