Elliott Michael Appling (Camdenton)'s Obituary
It snowed for the first time while I held Elliott’s hand in the ambulance. His hand seemed huge or maybe it was the moment. Worst moment of my life. I put my pointer in his palm and my thumb on the other side. His hand was still so warm, my heart not so much. All I could say the whole time was “I’m baffled!” over and over, like a computer glitch. If I couldn’t have cried my head would have exploded for sure. Comparable to a pressure release on a hot water tank. Elliott was so peaceful. I’ll never see anything like him again. He truly looked wise or content laying there still, with his eyes closed. I’m positive Elliott was somewhere warm in a magnificent sunset with a friend of ours, who create the sun.
