Elmer Leroy Pearce, Jr., son of the late Elmer Leroy Pearce, Sr. and Maxine I. (Vaughan) Pearce, was born on December 6, 1952 in Jackson County, MO, and departed this life on August 8, 2018 at his home near Buffalo, MO. At the time of his passing he was 65 years, 8 months, and 2 days of age.
Elmer was reared and attended school in Medicine Lodge, KS. After his schooling, he moved to California where he attended college. He moved several times across the country before settling in Hutchison, KS to raise his family. He worked doing custom auto painting and doing custom cabinets for private aircraft for Global. He enjoyed building custom furniture, drawing, and spending time with his family. He was a great father, and his kids were his pride and joy. Elmer was a member of the West Side Christian Church in Kansas, and his faith was very important to him.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his fiancé Rhonda Sandford; two sons, Kent Pearce of San Francisco, CA and Elmer Leroy “Skip” Pearce III and wife Shauna of Haven, KS; and two granddaughters, Mila and Adley. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss
him.
