Elva Marlene Longhibler (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Elva “Angel” Marlene (Atnip) Longhibler, age 53, passed away in her home Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Lebanon Missouri. She was born September 3, 1971, to her parents, Edward Atnip, Sr. and Elise Louise (Fagg) Atnip.
Elva entered into marriage with Shawn Henry Longhibler on October 19, 2006.
Elva is survived by her husband, Shawn Henry Longhibler of Lebanon, Missouri; one son, Alex Collins of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and a daughter, Jessica Marie (Collins) Schaefer of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Hill of Greenville, Missouri and Juanita (Paul) Estes of Williamsville, Missouri. three brothers, Stanley Atnip, Alva (Buzz) Atnip Jr. and his wife, Spicey, and Joe Atnip and his wife, Diane, all of Greenville, Missouri; many nieces and nephews throughout the state of Missouri; her best friends, Rocky, Amber, and Saphira Gordon of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Treva “Red” Summerfield and her children of Lebanon, Missouri and Jeff and Summer Pharris of Eldon, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Alva and Elsie Atnip, along with her brother ,Alan Leon Atnip.
Elva loved music and had a very caring heart as she loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor as she tried to enjoy life and the people around her every day. Even though she was ill for many years, she was a huge fighter which is why she tried to make the most out of every day as she knew how precious life is. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A visitation will follow.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
