Elva Lorene Beal's Obituary
Elva Lorene Beal, daughter of Jess and Eva Bingham Wilson, was born March 19, 1916, near Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, January 18, 2007, in Christian Healthcare North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety years, nine months, and twenty-nine days. On June 13, 1934, she was united in marriage to Lester H. Beal, and to this union three daughters and one son were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester; a daughter, Ina Vandergrift; and two grandchildren. Elva is survived by two daughters, Norma Windsor, and her husband, Richard, and Margie Lemery, and her husband, Bob, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Milan Beal, of Lebanon, Missouri; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Farrell Wilson, and Luther Wilson, both of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Ruth Starnes, and Hazel King, both of Independence, Missouri, and Margie Snyder, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Lebanon community. After she and Lester were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted homemaker, Elva also worked at the Rice Stix Factory and Breech Medical Center for several years. Elva made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church. She had attended Unity Freewill Baptist Church for the last several years. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and canning her home grown produce. She was always interested in her family and enjoyed taking care of them. She had a kind heart and was a generous and giving person. Elva was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a good and caring friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials to Unity Freewill Baptist Church or Community Baptist Church may be made through the funera home.
