Elvin Kincheloe's Obituary
Elvin Lloyd Kincheloe, son of Adelbert Lee and Delia Elaine Huckaby Kincheloe, was born May 21, 1944, near Falcon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, September 9, 2009, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, three months, and eighteen days. On April 12, 1964, he was united in marriage to Jeanne Rene Bench, and to this union one daughter and one son were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Victor Elvin Kincheloe; and a brother, Loren Edward Kincheloe. Elvin is survived by a daughter, Reena Maples, and her husband, Jake, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Kason and Larra Newman, Dylan Maples, Elvin J. Kincheloe, and Tanner Eddington; three brothers, John Lee Kincheloe, and his wife, Melba, of Overland Park, Kansas, Edwin Kincheloe, and his wife, Sondra, and Richard Kincheloe, and his wife, Debbie, all of Falcon, Missouri; seven sisters, Delberta Williams, and her husband, Jack, of Grovespring, Missouri, Alberta Blair, and her husband, Wes, Junnie Palmer, and her fiancé, Jim McCormick, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Janie Martinez, of Overland Park, Kansas, Loretta Sing, and her husband, Gilbert, of Holt Summit, Missouri, Hazel Sing, and her husband, Johnny, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Alta Chambers, of Poway, California; a number of nieces and nephews; a special friend, Janet Myers, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in the Falcon, Missouri area and attended Plato Schools. He then made his home in St. Louis, Missouri for a few years where he worked for the Page Paper Company. In 1968, the family moved to Brownfield, Missouri and made their home. For over twenty-five years, Elvin worked for Mid-America Dairy in Lebanon. He also did automobile body work in his spare time. Elvin made his profession of faith in Christ early in his life and was a member of Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He also liked playing cards and was quite a talented jig dancer in his younger years. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Elvin was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them throughout the years. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday September 11, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Burial will be in the Porter Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday evening 7-8:30pm under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
