Emma June Hill (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Emma June Hill was born September 7, 1939 in Lebanon, Missouri, to Ralph and Alma Davis Reid. She passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri. She was eighty-five years, three months and twenty-four days of age.
Emma was raised in the Crossroads Community and attended Lebanon Schools. On January 23, 1959, she was united in marriage to the love of her life and best friend, William “Bill” Hill. Together they shared joy and happiness while standing by each other during the tough times for sixty-six years.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Alma Reid; two sons, Larry and Charles Hill; her daughter, Kathy Cooper; a grandson, Clayton Cooper; her great-grandson, Layton Fargon; one brother, Donnie Reid; five sisters, Bonnie Reid, Louise Builderback, Ida Robinson, Rosie Richardson, and Doris Ritchey.
She is survived by her loving husband, William “Bill” Hill of Lebanon, Missouri; two daughters, Sherri Mills and her husband Robert of Lebanon, Missouri and Teresa Palomino and her husband Daniel King of Nixa, Missouri; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Emma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her family was the center of her world. She was a wonderful homemaker and was a great cook, making meals and desserts she will be remembered for.
In her spare time, Emma liked traveling, which included going to casinos. She also took her grandchildren on many trips and made many lasting memories with them. When she wasn’t traveling, Emma found satisfaction in putting together jigsaw puzzles.
Throughout her life, Emma was known for her unwavering dedication to her family. Her home was a haven of warmth, love and laughter, where countless memories were created and treasured.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10 a.m. in Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A private burial will be at a later date.
A memorial to Crossroads Cemetery has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
