Emma Redd (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mrs. Emma Lorene Redd, Age 88, of Halfway, Missouri died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born on October 12, 1924 at Halfway, the daughter of Arthur M. Roderick and Lexie Mae Gestle Roderick. She married James Denzyl Redd on November 28, 1954.
She was a graduate of Halfway High School, and attended Draughon’s Business College in Springfield. She was a bookkeeper at the Halfway Farmers Exchange until she married and started a family.
She was saved at an early age and was baptized near Buffalo. She was a member of the Halfway Christian Church. She was a loving and faithful caregiver for her grandparents and parents for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denzyl, in 2007; her parents; and one brother, Gene Roderick and his wife Vera; one sister-in-law, Verian Shadwick and her husband Warren; and one brother-in-law, Wilbur Redd.
She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Dunseth and husband Dale, of Halfway; one granddaughter, Sara Coffman and husband Lance of Halfway; one grandson, Dr. Craig Dunseth and wife Jenna of Iowa City, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Beulah Redd of Buffalo.
