Eric Bruce Lawrence
Born in Kansas City, MO on December 28, 1941.
Went home to be with the Lord in Springfield, MO on June 7, 2017
After a prolonged illness and his work for the Lord being finished,
he was joyfully ready to go home.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Paul E. Lawrence; his
mother, Phyllis R. (Dosh) Lawrence; his brother, Brian A. Lawrence
and his grandson, Christian Walker Lawrence.
Those who are continuing the journey, are his wife of 57 years,
Barbara F. (Moenning) Lawrence.
Three sons: Aaron Lawrence, wife Michelle of Pittsburg, KS
Adam Lawrence, wife Clara of Springfield, MO
Chris Lawrence, wife Trish of Bolivar, MO
Two daughters: Kathy Hogue, husband Jeff of Bolivar, MO
Ruth Ann Lunderville, husband Shane of Moses Lake, WA

14 grandchildren: Andrew, Sarah, Amanda, Josh, Stephen, Scott,
Tony, Chloe, Ruby, Gabe, John, Isaac, Paul and Amy.
7 great-grandchildren: Chana, Kora, William, Colton, Sadie, Hazel
Also, many dear friends, brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord.
Eric gave his life to the Lord when he was sixteen years old. He
felt the call to the Ministry when he was eighteen. He was licensed to preach on October 11, 1967 at Emmanuel Baptist
Church in Columbia, Mo and afterwards, pastored his first church.
Eric graduated from Southwest Baptist College in 1973.
Eric was Ordained at New Home Baptist Church, Warsaw, MO;
August 12, 1973.
He received his Master of Divinity degree from Midwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary, in Kansas City, Mo on May 17, 1980.
He planted churches in Kansas for several years and in Minnesota,
where he was a Summer Missionary.
He Pastored churches in Missouri, Kansas, Washington and
California. He was Director of Missions in Meramec Baptist
Association in Missouri. He was a Chaplin for various Fire
departments and Police Departments in Kansas and Washington.
He served as a state prison Chaplin in Forks, Washington then
Airway Heights, Washington until his retirement and returned
back to his home state of Missouri. He has been the Pastor at
Pomme de Terre Southern Baptist Church, Pittsburg, MO for the
last four years until his death.
Now his work is done and the Lord has called him home after fifty
years in the Work, he was a true man of God.
The Memorial Service to Celebrate his life will be Sunday, June 25,
2017 at Heritage Baptist Church, Bolivar, Mo at 2:00 p.m.
