Erma Rowley (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Erma Irene Rowley, age 85 of Halfway, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020, at Colonial Springs Care Facility.
Erma was born January 3, 1935 to Ralph and Ruth (Woop) Weeks in North Kansas City, Missouri. She met her love, Charles A. Rowley, and married him June 6, 1953. Through their marriage they had four children: Linda, Charles(Chuck), Connie and Shawn. After several years they adopted their four nieces and a nephew: Della, April, Ralph, Karla and Hope. Erma was the sister of Norma (Weeks) Senter, Elvira (Weeks) Dobbins, Wayme (Weeks) Webb, Lois (Weeks) Rajpal, Lee Weeks, Marvin Weeks, Gene Weeks, David Weeks and Leonard Weeks.
Faith, family and friends were the main things that were important to Erma. She enjoyed learning and sharing about God and spending much time with family and friends and babysitting grand kids. She also loved decorating cakes and making cookies and sharing that gift with her loved ones.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles A. Rowley; a son, Chuck Rowley; a great-granddaughter; sisters Elvira and Wayme; brothers Lee, Marvin, Gene, Leonard, David; nieces Della, Karla and Hope; and many loving in-laws.
Survivors include: Linda Richards, Julie Rowley, Connie Rowley, Shawn and Mary Rowley, April Weeks, Ralph and Denise Weeks; grandchildren, Whitney Richards, Craig Rowley, Shyla Siems, Jarod and Lindsey Rowley, Matt Siems, Zach and Dani Rowley, and Emily Rowley; great-grandchildren, Marissa Ludwig, Danielle Rowley, Austin Siems, MacKenzie Siems, Zoey Siems, Logan Rowley, Brendan Rowley, Spencer Rowley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
A memorial service will be Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Butler Funeral Home with Pastor David Collum officiating. Burial will take place at a private family location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Open Hearts Ministry at United Methodist Church in Bolivar.
