Ernest "E.G." Guy Lear, Jr. (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Ernest Guy “EG" Lear, Jr., son of the late Ernest Guy and Mabel Miller Lear, was born on October 29, 1931 in Calhoun, Missouri, and departed this life on April 23, 2020 at his home in Urbana, Missouri. At the time of his passing he was 88 years, 5 months, and 23 days of age.
EG grew up in the Cross Timbers, Missouri area. His family moved to Urbana his senior year of High School, and he graduated from Urbana High School, class of 1949. EG was united in marriage to Edna Fowler on January 26, 1952. He worked as a sawyer, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed coon hunting.
EG was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Bill. He is survived by his wife Edna of the home; four children, Roger and wife Marie Lear, Kathy and husband Leon Spence, Michelle and husband Paul Hooper, and Lisa Marshall; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and four siblings, Bob and wife Shirley Lear, Donald and wife Betty Lear, Betty Johnson, and Deloris Banning. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.
