Ernestine D. Bailey's Obituary
Ernestine Daisy Bailey, daughter of George and Bertha (Glenn) Anderson, was born January 14, 1931, in Wichita, Kansas. She departed this life Sunday, April 8, 2007, in St. John’s Regional Health Center, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, two months, and twenty-four days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Beatrice Anderson; and a step-sister, Helen Anderson. Ernestine is survived by her husband, Jim, of Hartville, Missouri; a step-sister, Melissa Anderson, of the state of Arizona; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. She was born in Kansas and later moved with her family to Colorado and Arizona, where she spent most of her younger years. After she met and married Jim they moved to Wright County in the Hartville area. Throughout her life she had worked at the HD Lee Plant in Hartville, cooked in local restaurants and also worked in home health care. Ernestine made her profession of faith in Christ and was baptized April 1972. She had attended the First Church of God in Christ and later attended the Sunshine Church. For the last ten years she had been very dedicated and devoted to her church work. She was always willing to help others, had a very giving spirit, and loved caring for husband and their home. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, and reading westerns. Ernestine was a very kind and caring person, she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Hartville. Burial will be in the Steele Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
