He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Scott Anthony Mast, on March 17, 1972; a brother, Amos Mast; a sister, Ella Miller; and a brother-in-law, Levi Miller. Throughout his life, he worked as an over the road truck driver, and had won many awards for his safe driving records. He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy from June 11, 1956 until June 10, 1962 when he was honorably discharged. Ervin had professed his faith in Christ and attended the Hartville Church of God. He centered his life around his faith and caring for his family. He received great pleasure spending time with his family, especially his two grandsons. He enjoyed being in the outdoors on the farm, tinkering under the hood working on a car, and fixing things around his shop. He also enjoyed reading and keeping up with current events, watching and listening to the news. Ervin was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
